Exhibition Announcement: Chris Guest
The Tattoo Collective are thrilled to welcome London-based fine artist Chris Guest to the show.
This weekend, Chris Guest will be displaying his latest works at The Tattoo Collective, along with a painting workshop on Saturday 17th March from 11-3pm – a unique chance for visitors to view the artwork coming to life.
Chris began drawing and painting from a very young age and first started making money from his art aged just 14, drawing portraits of music icons for his schoolmates. At age 18, Chris began showing his work in galleries around Cornwall and has since exhibited extensively throughout the US and UK.
His originals and prints are collected worldwide and his art has been featured in countless magazines and publications. Chris also teaches painting and holds workshops around the UK.
Known for his figurative works depicting tattooed subjects and using oil painting techniques akin to 18th Century painters, Chris frames his works in a classical style, creating an interesting juxtaposition between his traditional approach and the rebellious young characters he paints.
We can’t wait to view Chris Guests latest pieces in our T3 gallery area, The Old Truman Brewery, 17th-18th March.
Advance tickets are available online; The Tattoo Collective are also proud to offer a 50% discount for students purchasing tickets on the gate. To claim this discount, simply bring along your NUS ID. Don’t miss it!
