Exhibition Announcement: The Imperial Tattoo Army
The Tattoo Collective are thrilled to display ‘The Imperial Tattoo Army’ at the The Old Truman Brewery, March 17th-18th.
This exclusive exhibition features renowned tattoo artists Jondix, Hanumantra, Jordan Croke, Guen Douglas, Lenu, Maarten Emily, Victor Chil and Vlady, who have each taken part to create eight stunning and completely unique artworks on Original Stormtrooper canvases.
The art exhibition will display three battle spec bodysuits and six battle spec Stormtrooper helmets. Each artist has brought their own unique style to deliver totally one-off pieces of art, which will later be auctioned for charity.
This exhibition is exclusive to The London Tattoo Convention and The Tattoo Collective, and this will be the last chance to view the works before they are auctioned; don’t miss it!
For those who are fans, this will be an amazing experience combining tattoo art with the Dark Side of the Force…
In 1976, prop maker Andrew Ainsworth was approached by fellow creator Nick Pemberton to create the original Stormtrooper costumes used for the first Star Wars movie. He created the prototypes for the helmets and armour, and after approval from George Lucas, went into production to create the iconic trooper costumes used in the original films.
The original moulds Andrew used were stored safely in his SDS prop-house and after a near-30 year rest, they have been dusted off and are once more in use to create the genuine trooper helmets.
We are thrilled to present this exhibition at The Tattoo Collective. Don’t miss the opportunity to see this fantastic collection on display; Advance Tickets are now on sale, get yours now!
